Meet the Owner: O’Banyon Custer

Hi, I’m O’Banyon Custer, owner of ECL Development. I’ve been working in landscaping and outdoor construction since I was 12 years old. My first job was with a local gardening and landscaping company. I knew early on this kind of work was for me. Over the years, I learned a lot, and I realized I wanted to build things my own way—through hard work, honesty, and a strong eye for design.

With over 30 years in this industry, I’ve had the chance to create all kinds of outdoor spaces across Bandera and the Hill Country. What I enjoy most is being creative—taking a plain or overgrown yard and turning it into something beautiful that fits in with the land around it.

Customer service means everything to me. If there’s a problem, I’ll show up—even on the weekend if I need to. I take pride in doing what I say I’ll do, and I keep in touch with you every step of the way. I want you to feel confident in the work we’re doing.

Outside of work, I like to spend time in nature—whether that’s hiking, camping,
or just enjoying the outdoors. I’m also a proud member of the Bandera
Chamber of Commerce, where I stay involved in our local community.
